Measuring The Speed of Light

This laboratory measures the speed of light with an experimental design, motivated by a custom simplified Foucault setup consisting of a laser, rotating mirror, convex lens, camera sensor, and stationary mirrors. Beam displacement is recorded vs. motor rotation frequency, yielding a linear relationship whose slope can be used to determine the speed of light.
